9 Operation and Maintenance Management

9.1 Operation and Maintenance Service Contents

Operation and maintenance include, but are not limited to:

  1. Equipment repair;

  2. The cost of materials, accessories, and equipment used;

  3. Emergency rescue and repair;

  4. Cost of technical transformation;

9.2 Operation and maintenance preparation

When performing routine maintenance on site, ensure that the system is in Shutdown mode. The following are instructions for mode switching operations. For details, see 8.3.1 Energy Storage Control.

In General mode, change Control Mode Switch from constant AC Power Mode to Stop.

In Separate mode, change the control mode of System 1#~8# from Constant AC power mode to Stop mode.

Disconnect the QF21~QF28 on primary distribution box(CB),and disconnect QF2K circuit breaker on distribution box(DB), and finally turn the high-voltage unit circuit breakers in all battery branches to the horizontal position, as shown in the following figure.

9.3 Operation and Maintenance Rules

The scope of operation and maintenance includes all equipment and accessories involved in the whole energy storage product, including but not limited to main equipment, electrical, automatic control, monitoring, fire protection, lighting, civil engineering, lightning protection, etc.

9.4 Regular Operation and Maintenance Work

9.4.1 Electrochemical energy storage power station

  1. Monitoring, regulating and inspecting the running state of electrochemical energy storage power station;

  2. Operation and parameter adjustment of energy storage products in electrochemical energy storage power station;

  3. Operation record of energy storage products in electrochemical energy storage power station;

  4. Data backup, statistics, analysis and reporting of electrochemical energy storage power station;

  5. Work ticket, operation ticket, shift handover, patrol inspection, regular test of equipment and implementation of rotation system;

  6. Original records, drawings and data management of energy storage products in electrochemical energy storage power station;

  7. Inspection, maintenance and management of building construction and assisted living facilities in electrochemical energy storage power station;

  8. Formulate countermeasures to prevent safety accidents of electrochemical energy storage power stations.

Daily operation of electrochemical energy storage plant equipment.

9.5 Storage and installation environment requirements

9.5.1 Storage requirement

  1. a) Storage temperature: -20~+55℃ (Short-term storage: 1 month), 0℃~35℃(long-term storage: 1 year) After 12 months of storage at the recommended storage temperature, the irreversible capacity loss of lithium batteries is generally 3%~10%.

  2. b) Relative humidity: No more than 95%, non-condensing;

  3. c) No explosive media shall be allowed in the place of storage;

  4. d) No strong acid or alkali and other highly polluting substances that can be adhered to or inhaled by the equipment shall be allowed in the place of storage;

  5. e) The ground of the storage site is flat, and the height error of the contact surface between the ground and the box is less than 3mm.

  6. f) The storage and transportation time of the energy storage system shall not exceed 6 months in total (calculated from the time of shipment). Over 6 months, battery charging and SOC calibration must be carried out, and at least 60% SOC shall be supplemented. If the battery is not recharged as required, the performance and service life of the battery may be affected.

  7. g) When the storage time is 3 months or more, it can be put into use only after being inspected and tested by manufacturer support engineers.

  8. h) When the battery has not undergone charging and discharging cycles for 3 consecutive days, it is considered as in storage state.

In the storage state, the cell has self discharge (less than 0.1% per day). If not maintained for a long time, the SOC will become inaccurate. If the cell voltage is too low, it may cause cell damage (over discharge).

1) When the storage period is less than 10 days, please charging the battery and ensure that the minimum voltage of each cluster(string) cells is ≥ 3.30V before storage, and the "Standby" indicator light on the "Status" interface is green.

2) When the storage period is ≥ 10 days or more, please charging the battery and ensure that the minimum voltage of the cells in each cluster(string) is ≥ 3.36V before storage, and maintenance the system once a month.

3) Maintenance content: Check the minimum voltage of the cells on the "BMS Status" interface to ensure that the minimum voltage of each cluster(string) of cells is ≥ 3.36V, and the "Standby" indicator light on the "Status" interface is green. When the voltage is not met, please set BESS to charging mode until the minimum voltage of cell voltage is ≥ 3.36V.

4) When the system loses external power supply, please disconnect all circuit breakers and isolation switches of the system. After the power supply is restored, close all circuit breakers and isolation switches of the system and perform maintenance on the system.

9.5.2 Operation environment requirements

  1. a) Operating temperature: -20~40℃(Max.-35~45℃);

  2. b) Meet the requirements of Clause 3.4.1 of this Agreement;

  3. c) The container must be horizontally installed on a hardened foundation, with cable slots on the ground for easy routing;

  4. d) Do not install the equipment in low-lying areas to avoid flooding;

  5. e) The container must be placed in a well-ventilated area. No obstacles are allowed within 300mm of the air inlet and outlet.

  6. f) The area around the equipment should be protected according to local requirements to prevent non-personnel from approaching.

  7. g) Lightning protection measures should be placed around the equipment according to local or international standards and lightning protection requirements of the building or power plant equipment.

  8. h) If it is used in special environment (such as extremely cold, sandstorm, etc.), please explain the situation and contact us.

9.5.3 Energy Storage Devices

  1. a) Cleaning of energy storage converters, battery systems and battery management systems, wiring inspection, battery charging and discharging, etc.

  2. b) During maintenance of energy storage equipment, safety protection measures should be taken for the equipment and other related operating equipment to prevent accidental collision.

  3. c) Maintenance personnel are professionally trained, equipped with protective equipment, take protective measures, and use qualified insulation tools.

  4. d) Maintenance types can be divided into routine maintenance, regular maintenance and special maintenance:

1) Daily maintenance: temporary fault removal, including the process of inspection, cleaning, adjustment and replacement of parts, there is no fixed period of time, the completed maintenance and overhaul items should be recorded in the maintenance record, and management archives;

2) Regular maintenance: carry out comprehensive inspection, cleaning, testing, measurement and inspection of related equipment on a regular basis. The regular maintenance period is generally half a year or one year, and the period can be adjusted according to the actual situation; The regular maintenance items shall be carried out item by item. The completed maintenance and overhaul items shall be recorded in the maintenance records and managed and filed.

3) Special maintenance: maintenance of related equipment due to special requirements;

The PCS is running too noisy

Check to make sure the converter power is within the permissible range, observe whether the voltage and current of the power network fluctuate, and check to replace the cooling fan.

Black screen

Check to make sure that the 24V power connector on the back of the touch screen is secure and does not loosen.

Communication failure of touch screen

Check the touch screen communication line and check that the main console is powered on.

4

The cell overvoltage

Check that the battery's overvoltage performance is correct and that the corresponding BMU/CMU circuit board is OK.

5

The battery or pole overtemperature

Check that the fan is on normally, check that the poles are loose, and check that the battery is insulated to the ground.

6

Overcurrent protection action

Check for short circuits.

7

Fuse protection

The output of the device exceeds the current limit and needs to check for short circuits and replace the quick melting fuse.
